Stryker reported the completion of the 100,000th joint replacement procedure using its Mako System.
Here are three points:
1. The Mako System offers a CT-based 3-D modeling of a patient's bone anatomy to develop a customized surgical plan.
2. With the technology, surgeons are able to virtually alter the surgical plan intraoperatively.
3. In early 2017, Stryker released its Mako Total Knee for use with the Triathlon Total Knee System. The Mako System is the only robotic technology with the ability to assist in total knee, partial knee and total hip replacements.
