Xēnix Medical earned FDA clearance for its Solace sacroiliac fixation system with Nanoactiv nanotechnology, the devicemaker said Oct. 31.
The 3D-printed implants come in two diameters options and lengths p to 115mm, according to a news release. Nanoactiv surface technology has porous channels for boney ingrowth and is designed to improve fixation.
"The SOLACE Sacroiliac Fixation System is a major first step in the evolution of Xenix Medical beyond an interbody company," Ryan Phillips, president of the company, said in the release. "Leveraging our expertise in additive manufacturing, this system opens the door to a new level of opportunity for the company to grow within our current and future distribution channels."
