From product launches to approvals and a new acquisition, here are eight key updates from spine and orthopedic devicemakers since Aug. 21.

1. SI-Bone earned FDA 510(k) clearance and breakthrough device designation for the iFuse Torq TNT implant system.

2. Globus Medical launched the Adira extreme lateral interbody fusion plate system.

3. Stryker signed a definitive agreement to acquire Vertos Medical, a pain management company.

4. A New York City law firm filed a securities class-action lawsuit against spine devicemaker Orthofix Medical.

5. Spine Wave launched its new Exceed biplanar expandable interbody device featuring TiCell Nano Advanced Surface Technology. 

6. LifeNet Health, in partnership with Johnson & Johnson MedTech, launched the PliaFX Pak bone allograft in the U.S.

7. Vericel earned FDA approval for a supplemental Biologics License Application, which will expand the company's Maci label to include arthroscopy.

8. SurGenTec earned FDA 510(k) clearance for its B-Man bone marrow aspirate kit.
