The Pulse spine platform was developed by NuVasive before the company was bought by Globus Medical.

1. The platform earned FDA clearance in 2021. It is an integrated platform designed for increased efficiency. It also has a CE mark in the European Union.
2. Clinical evidence shows the system can help surgeons reduce operating room time by up to an hour, save nearly $5,000 per patient in hospital costs and reduced time under anesthesia and hospital stays. It also helps surgeons scale back radiation exposure and improves surgical navigation.
3. The first commercial cases using Pulse were completed in 2021 in Ohio and Texas.
4. Pulse surpassed 2,000 commercial cases as of February 2023.
5. Pulse's artificial intelligence algorithm is one of five orthopedic AI and machine learning systems that has been cleared by the FDA.
