Jonathan Lewin, MD, heads The Center for Spinal Disorders in Englewood, N.J., and serves as director of spine surgery at North Shore University Hospital in Forest Hills, N.Y.
He also practices with Brooklyn Premier Orthopedics and is an assistant clinical professor of orthopedic surgery at Long Island College Hospital, both located in New York City. His hospital affiliations include Englewood (N.J.) Hospital, Lutheran Medical Center and Beth Israel Surgery Center, in New York City. He has previously served as the director of minimally invasive spine surgery at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City.
Dr. Lewin is currently a diplomate of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and focuses his practice on degenerative disc disease, spondylolisthesis, scoliosis and other disorders of the spine. He is experienced in endoscopic fusion surgical techniques. He is the official spine sponsor of the Brooklyn Nets and has presented at numerous society meetings. He has also had his work published in a number of peer-reviewed journals, such as Clinical Orthopaedics and Treatment & Rehabilitation of Fractures.
Dr. Lewin earned his medical degree at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Montefiore Medical Center, both located in New York. He completed his pediatric and adult medicine surgery fellowship at the Shriner's Hospital of Philadelphia, Temple University Hospital and Jefferson University Hospital, all located in Philadelphia, and Cooper University in Camden, N.J.
