Two physicians have been added to the board of directors for the newly-created Society for Advanced Spinal Intervention. Andrea Trescot, MD, will join the organization in its goal of providing a resource for minimally invasive spine training and credentialing worldwide.
Dr. Trescot is a past president of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and a former director of the pain fellowship programs at the University of Washington and University of Florida. She's board-certified in anesthesia, pain management, interventional pain management and critical care.
In addition to Dr. Trescot, Gung Choi, MD, will also join the board. Dr. Choi is the president of Seoul Wooridul Spine Hospital in South Korea. He is also the executive director of Asian Congress of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery and Techniques.
