Patients who met the inclusion criteria for degenerative spondylolisthesis improved more with surgery than with nonoperative treatment, according to a study published in Spine.
Patients with degenerative spondylolisthesis were treated and then were analyzed according to the treatment they received. Three-hundred-and-ninety-five patients were treated with surgery and 210 were given nonoperative treatment.
The study found that patients improved significantly more with surgery than with nonoperative treatment.
