Rockford (Ill.) Spine Center announced that Fred Sweet, MD, has been named one of the "Twenty People You Should Know" in 2013 by the Rockford Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Sweet is co-founder of the Rockford Spine Center. He focuses on complex spine surgeries. He has developed a new surgical technique to treat scoliosis and spinal deformities and is currently one of only a handful of surgeons in the world doing the procedure. He is also a lead investigator of scientific study of a new method to designed to significantly decrease surgical infections.
