8 Hospitals & Health Systems Expanding Spine Programs

Mazor Robotics announced that Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville (Fla.) has acquired a second Renaissance surgical guidance system.

Pinehurst, N.C.-based FirstHealth of the Carolinas announced that FirstHealth Neurosurgery will move to a larger office in Pinehurst on Jan. 6, 2014.

 

Golisano Children's Hospital at the University of Rochester (N.Y.) Medical Center has purchased the EOS machine for imaging of pediatric patients with spine conditions such as scoliosis.

 

Snellville, Ga.-based Atlanta Neurosurgical Associates has joined the Decatur, Ga.-based DeKalb Medical Physicians Group, part of DeKalb Regional Health System.

 

St. Paul-based Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota announced the opening of an inpatient neuroscience unit at its St. Paul campus.

 

Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Spectrum Health announced the opening of The Brain & Spine Tumor Center in Grand Rapids.

 

St. Mary's Medical Center in Blue Springs, Mo., announced the opening of both the Joint & Spine Institute and Surgical Institute.

 

Weston-based Cleveland Clinic Florida is planning a $30 million expansion that will include a spine center.
