Emory St. Joseph's Hospital opened the Orthopaedics and Spine Pavilion on Monday, Jan. 4, 2016.

Here are five highlights:

 

1. With the consolidation of orthopedics and spine services at the hospital, the facility will provide a comprehensive, seamless patient care experience in one location.

 

2. The pavilion was established in response to the hospital's continued growth in orthopedics.

 

3. The new facility includes six state-of-the-art operating suites and patient- and family-centered preparation and recovery areas.

 

4. Inpatient and outpatient procedures at the pavilion include general orthopedics, joint replacement, spine, elbow and shoulder, knee and hip and foot and ankle, as well as offering minimally invasive and robotic-assisted approaches for select procedures.

 

5. Emory St. Joseph's Hospital is recognized by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services as one of the top 25 hospitals in the nation for joint replacement procedures.
