Barry J. Hoffer, MD, PhD, adjunct neurosurgery professor at Case Western Reserve university in Cleveland received a National Institutes of Health three-year, $1 million grant for research about the use of gliptins for Parkinson's treatment.

 

Björn Zoëga, MD, a spine surgeon, assumed the position of CEO of GHP Stockholm Spine Center.

 

Mount Sinai Beth Israel in New York named Constantinos G. Hadjipanayis, MD, chair of the department of neurosurgery.

Rockford Register Star named orthopedic spine surgeon Michael Roh, MD, of Rockford (Ill.) Spine Center to its "People to Watch 2016" list.

 

St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, Ohio, named Selvon F. St. Clair, MD, PhD, director of spine surgery.

 

Orthopedic spine surgeon Kern Singh, MD, delivered the keynote speech at the Minimally Invasive Spine Society meeting in Tokyo, Japan.
