While Michael Raber, MD, was still in training, he committed to an employment contract with Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Ark., that included a $48,000 signing bonus, but he decided to quit months before his scheduled July 2017 start date. Now, a judge has ordered him to repay the payroll taxes on his signing bonus and recruitment expenses, in addition to paying back the bonus.

T.S. Kanaka, PhD, 86, passed away Nov. 14. She was the first female neurosurgeon in Asia and the third female neurosurgeon in the world.

Colin Haines, MD, and Christopher Good, MDperformed a spine surgery combining endoscopic and robotic-guided technology.
