Oakland-based Webster Orthopedics added Saqib Hasan, MD, to its surgical staff.
Dr. Hasan is trained in orthopedic and neurosurgical spine surgery. He specializes in complex spine surgery with an emphasis on minimally invasive techniques and is fully trained in endoscopic spine surgery.
He treats spinal stenosis, spondylolisthesis, disc herniations, scoliosis and spine tumors among other conditions.
Dr. Hasan authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications and serves as a reviewer for several spine and orthopedic journals.
He earned his medical degree from State University of New York – Stony Brook School of Medicine and completed an orthopedic surgery residency at the Hospital for Joint Diseases at New York University School of Medicine in New York City.
Dr. Hasan completed a combined fellowship in orthopedic and neurosurgical spinal surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he trained in motion preservation procedures such as disc replacement as well as the minimally invasive treatment of scoliosis.
