Philadelphia-based Rothman Orthopaedic Institute added two new physicians to Rothman Orthopaedics New York.
Both Michael Smith, MD, a neurosurgeon, and Grigoriy Arutyunyan, MD, an orthopedic spine surgeon, joined Rothman Orthopaedics locations in Manhattan; Dr. Arutyunyan will also see patients in Harrison, N.Y. The two surgeons will perform surgeries at Lenox Hill (N.Y.) Hospital and Lenox Health Greenwich Village Ambulatory Surgery Center in New York City.
Dr. Smith completed his residency in neurosurgery at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and a spine surgery fellowship at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London.
Dr. Arutyunyan underwent his residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., and completed a spine fellowship at the University of California. He also trained in orthopedic oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.
Rothman Orthopaedic Institute now has around 40 locations in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
