Robert Bray Jr., MD, of Newport Beach, Calif.-based DISC Sports & Spine Center, performed a lower disc replacement on retired motorcycle racer Carey Hart, according to a Sept. 23 Instagram post.
Mr. Hart recognized the center and Dr. Bray in a post from his hospital bed.
"The staff here is nothing short of amazing. I am very lucky to have this team to bolt me back together," he wrote. "Glad my fusion has some company with the M6 disc replacement."
Mr. Hart also thanked his wife, singer Pink, and his children for their support. He has had previous spine surgeries stemming from fractures, according to a Sept. 24 report fromPeople.
