Today show co-host Carson Daly had a novel minimally invasive spine procedure to treat back pain, according to a June 9 report on the show's website.
He suffered a T12 compression fracture stemming from a snowmobile accident in the 1990s and has had back pain in the decades since.
Mr. Daly had an Intracept procedure to address his pain and returned to co-hosting June 9. The case is completed through a 3- to 5-millimeter incision and applies heat through a probe to desensitize a nerve in the spine, according to Austin-based Texas Spine and Scoliosis.
Today did not say who operated on Mr. Daly or where he had the procedure.
