Texas Health Frisco has opened a sixth floor in its practice, according to an Aug. 25 report from Community Impact.
Construction on the $23.6 million sixth floor expansion began in November and added 30 beds and two operating rooms to the hospital.
The new floor focuses on gynecology, urology, bariatrics and spine patients. The center hopes to hire three new bariatric surgeons in the next year.
"The additional space will give us flexibility and help meet the growing needs of patients in Collin and Denton counties," Brett Lee, president of Texas Health Frisco, told Community Impact.
