1. Spine surgeons Glenn Russo, MD; Girard Girasole, MD; John Awad, MD, and Gary Zimmerman, MD, performed the first cases using the PathKeeper System at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, Conn.
2. Bradley Moatz, MD, has placed the first ever pedicle screw using Novarad's immersive augmented reality on a live patient in the U.S.
3. Orthopedic surgeon Ken Zaslav, MD, performed the first commercial case with CartiHeal's Agili-C in the U.S., the medtech company said July 26.
4. Deepak Reddy, MD, of South Bend (Ind.) Orthopedics completed the first solo SynerFuse procedure.
5. Stephen Smith, MD, of Beacon Health System Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Ind., performed the first clinical case with Happe Spine's Integrate-C interbody fusion system.
6. Hand surgeon Thomas Frazier, MD, was the first patient at The Orthopaedic & Spine Hospital at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock.
7. Cleveland Clinic London completed the city's first total knee replacement with augmented reality assistance, the hospital said in an Aug. 17 news release.
