The North American Spine Society is reducing the size of its board of directors, the organization's president, Zoher Ghogawala, MD, said Nov. 3.
"The Board of Directors of NASS has voted and approved a plan to reduce gradually the size of the board in order to focus on strategic priorities and create a board that is more capable of active discussion to serve the organization," Dr. Ghogawala said in an email to Becker's. "The Board is committed to maintaining diversity, equity, and inclusion through this process."
As of Nov. 3, the NASS website says the board is "undergoing re-engineering." Updates to the board are expected by the end of the year, according to the website.
