Jobs for orthopedic surgeons are expected to grow over the next decade, according to the report, and a high demand for these specialized services will mean high salaries. Orthopedic surgeons earn an average of $339,000 annually, and salaries in urban areas are generally higher than rural ones.
The top 10 percent of orthopedic surgeons reported a salary of around $665,123 per year while the bottom 10 percent received around $254,690.
