PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center opens brain, spine center: 3 notes

PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, Wash., opened its neurosciences inpatient unit for treating patients with brain and spine issues.

Here are three notes:

 

1. The 2,600-square-foot Thomas and Sandra Young Neurosciences Center includes 32 beds.

 

2. The center's physicians provide both emergency and routine services from complex stroke care and brain and spine surgeries to treatments for aneurysm and endovascular procedures.

 

3. The unit was made possible by $3 million provided by hospital donors, including a $1.5 million donation from Vancouver's Thomas and Sandra Young.
