Castle Connolly named Kapil Moza, MD, a Top Doctor of 2018. The renowned spine surgeon also received the Super Doctors Award for the third year in a row.

1. Dr. Moza earned his medical degree 20 years ago. Since earning his degree, he went on to complete fellowships in minimally invasive spine surgery, complex spine surgery and cerebrovascular/skull base surgery.
2. He served as a skull base surgery professor at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland and an assistant clinical professor at UC Irvine.
3. Dr. Moza believes he was the first surgeon in Ventura, Calif., and Santa Barbara, Calif., to a perform cervical artificial disc replacement. He performed the surgery in 2007.
4. Currently, Dr. Moza serves as the CEO and medical director of Centurion Surgical Center in Agoura Hills, Calif., an outpatient center specializing in minimally invasive spine surgery and interventional pain management.
5. As a leader in the industry, Dr. Moza is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
