Recent changes in today's healthcare environment have led to confusion, turmoil and uncertainty. With such as in most cases once one is informed and to some degree risk tolerant, opportunities arise.
Today's spine world is no exception. Rick Fessler, MD, Frank Phillips, MD, and I have embarked in this online periodic compendium to attempt to gather thought leaders' overviews as to where things are and might be leading.
Some of the topics we will cover over the course of the series are industry, big data analytics, spine care delivery models, episodes of care and bundled payments as well as general topics on education, development and innovation.
We give thanks to Scott Becker, publisher of Becker's who has graciously agreed to incorporate this in his online newsletter. Thanks also to Laura Dyrda and Cheryl Zapata for collaborating with us and keeping us organized.
We plan initial installments beginning in August.
