Lewiston, Maine-based St. Mary's Health System brought spine surgeon Mats Agren, MD, on board through a partnership with Portland-based Maine Medical Partners, according to the Bangor Daily News.
Three quick details:
1. Dr. Agren joined St. Mary's Orthopedics in Auburn, Maine, to offer advanced spine care.
2. Dr. Agren is already accepting patients. He will diagnose and treat compression fractures, herniated discs and osteoarthritis.
3. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia, completed residency training at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester, and underwent a spine fellowship at New England Baptist Hospital in Boston.
