The University of Utah in Salt Lake City unveiled six new professorships focusing on health and clinical research with Howard Colman, MD, earning a spot, The Salt Lake Tribune reports.
Four things to know:
1. Dr. Colman is a professor of neurosurgery who focuses on the treatment of primary and metastatic brain tumors.
2. He is a member of the brain tumor research team and leader of the center for neurologic cancers at Huntsman Cancer Institute at the university.
3. The professorships were funded by the Huntsman family in honor of the late Jon Huntsman Sr., a billionaire chemical industrialist from Utah.
4. The chairs will serve five-year terms, finishing in June 2024.
