Fernando Silva, MD, joined the neurosciences team at Houston Methodist The Woodlands (Texas) Hospital, Woodlands Online reports.
Dr. Silva specializes in neurosurgery and spine surgery with over 20 years of experience. His areas of expertise include minimally invasive spine surgery, adult deformity surgery and scoliosis surgery.
Before joining The Woodlands Hospital, Dr. Silva worked in Beaumont, Texas. Fluent in Spanish, he was born in Nicaragua and raised in Southern California.
Dr. Silva graduated from the University of California San Diego School of Medicine, underwent neurology residency training at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., and completed a neurosurgery residency at Loma Linda (Calif.) University.
