Elizabeth Tyler-Kabara, MD, was recently appointed chief of pediatric neurosurgery at Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas in Austin, reports Patch.
Dr. Tyler-Kabara will also serve as co-chief of University of Texas Health Austin Pediatric Neurosciences at Dell Children's and director of restorative neurosurgery at Dell Medical School at UT.
She specializes in pediatric neurosurgery, endonasal skull base surgery and pediatric movement disorders.
Previously Dr. Tyler-Kabara served as associate professor of neurosurgery, bioengineering and physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Pittsburgh and a faculty of the McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine.
She will be responsible for developing educational programs to train future pediatric neurosurgeons.
