Baptist Health Neuroscience Center-Fort Smith (Ark.) recently recruited Arthur Johnson, MD, the Times Record reports.
Four things to know:
1. Dr. Johnson specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery, spinal trauma and degenerative disc disease.
2. Prior to joining Baptist Health, he was in the U.S. Air Force, serving as a staff neurosurgeon and lieutenant colonel at Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center in San Antonio, Texas.
3. Dr. Johnson has nearly 38 years of experience as a neurosurgeon.
4. In 1982, he earned his medical degree from the University of Mississippi in Oxford and completed his medical residency at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.
