MyMOC, a startup tackling physician burnout with its MOCingbird app, opened an office in North Kingstown, R.I., in August, The NK Standard-Times reports.
Spine surgeon Ian Madom, MD, of Ortho Rhode Island in East Greenwich, cofounded the company with George Fernaine, MD, chief of cardiology at NYU Brooklyn in New York City.
The app seeks to save providers time by managing Maintenance of Certification and Continuing Medical Education requirements and allowing them to take courses on mobile devices.
Administrators can track and store education credits from providers and ensure they stay up-to-date and compliant on all certification and education requirements.
