Florida Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale named neurosurgeon Jessica Okun, DO, "Physician of the Quarter 1," according to South Florida Hospital News.
Three things to know:
1. Dr. Okun specializes in treatments for neurotrauma and degenerative spinal disease, including minimally invasive and complex surgeries.
2. Recipients are nominated for the award in a process involving hospital employees and physicians.
3. Since 2016, Dr. Okun has practiced with Sunrise (Fla.) Medical Group, as part of Tenet Florida Physician Services and with the Advanced Neuroscience Network Physicians group.
