Patient Preferred Physicians and Practitioners, a society of highly referred providers, has named Steven DeLuca, DO, a "patient preferred orthopedic surgeon" for the state of Pennsylvania in 2021.
Four things to know:
1. Dr. Deluca is a hip and spine surgery specialist with Orthopedic Institute of Pennsylvania in Camp Hill, Pa., and assistant clinical professor at Harrisburg, Pa.-based Pinnacle Health System.
2. He specializes in treatments such as minimally invasive spine surgery, motion preservation spine surgery, cervical disc replacement, robotic-assisted knee replacement and total hip replacement.
3. In 2017, Dr. Deluca performed the first spine surgery in the U.S. with Premia Spine's Tops device. He was also among the first surgeons to perform the Microport bikini incision total hip replacement in February.
4. His professional memberships include the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, North American Spine Society and Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society.
