The first implantation in an M6-C study and four more spine surgery firsts in the last month:

1. Todd Lanman, MD, completed the first patient implant of the M6-C disc for a study evaluating the device in a contiguous two-level symptomatic cervical radiculopathy.

2. Dr. Lanman became the first surgeon in the U.S. to restore motion at three contiguous levels in a patient's cervical spine.

3. Raymund Woo, MD, a surgeon at AdventHealth for Children, has performed the health system's first pediatric spine surgery with the 7D Surgical Flash system.

4. Casey Davidson, MD, performed the Southeast region's first surgery with NuVasive's Modulus ALIF 3D-printed titanium implant.

5. Mark McFarland, DO, performed the first kyphoplasty with Stryker's SpineJack system in the Hampton Roads region of Virginia.
