Acquisition, push into Walmart drive IMAC spine market growth

Brentwood, Tenn.-based IMAC Holdings, which is in partnership with The Back Company, aims to grow in spine care following strong revenue jumps in recent months.

IMAC posted $4.3 million in fourth-quarter revenue, an increase of 26 percent year over year, according to a March 31 news release. Full-year earnings for 2021 were up 12 percent at $14.4 million.

Highlights of IMAC's fourth quarter included the acquisition of Louisiana Orthopaedic and Spine Institute and launching The Back Company. In the first quarter of 2022, The Back Company made its push into Walmart stores following a pilot program.

Along with its retail endeavors, IMAC Holdings completed the second cohort and initiated the third cohort of a Phase 1 clinical trial for a mesenchymal stem cell therapy candidate for bradykinesia due to Parkinson’s disease.
