Branko Skovrlj, MD, founder of NU-Spine in Woodbridge, N.J., earned board certification in neurosurgery.
To earn board certification, he had to complete seven years of residency training, an optional fellowship, 125 cases and an oral and written exam, according to a June 9 news release.
Dr. Skovrlj earned his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, N.Y. and completed a neurosurgery residency program at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. He has written more than 50 peer-reviewed papers and more than 150 clinical research papers.
