Spine specialist Robert Watkins, MD, repaired a herniated neck disc on Buffalo Bills safety Micah Hyde in Los Angeles, according to an Oct. 12 tweet from ESPN reporter Jeremy Fowler.
Mr. Hyde injured his neck during a Sept. 24 game, ending his season. He is cleared to travel back to his team, but will face six to nine months of recovery, according to the tweet.
Mr. Hyde was sent to the hospital for a neck injury earlier in the season, but was released and cleared to play the next day, according to an Oct. 12 report from USA Today Sports.
