Dr. William Sterett to Perform Knee Surgery on Olympic Skier Lindsey Vonn

US Ski team physician William Sterett, MD, will perform knee surgery on Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn, according to a report in the New York Times. Ms. Vonn injured her knee during the world champion super-G race earlier this week and will have surgery to repair a tear in her anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments. She also sustained a tibial fracture, according to the report.

Dr. Sterett may be able to perform the procedure next week.
