Richard Edelson, MD, performed knee surgery on Portland Timbers midfielder Sal Zizzo, according to a Sports Illustrated report. Mr. Zizzo suffered a torn medial meniscus during practice and is expected to spend four to six weeks recovering after surgery. Dr. Edelson practices with Oregon Sports Medicine and serves as a team physician for the Timbers.
