Orthopedic Sports Medicine

Russell Warren, MD, surgeon-in-chief at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, recently examined New York Giants receiver Steve Smith's injured left knee, according to a New York Post article.

Mr. Smith incurred the injury after a tackle from behind. An MRI exam revealed the injury that will take Mr. Smith off the field for the rest of the season. He was out of the game earlier in the season recovering from a torn pectoral muscle as well.

The next step in Mr. Smith's treatment is undecided at this time. Dr. Warren is the team physician for the Giants and has treated several of the team's injured players.
