Orthofix will open its North American Operations and Education Center in Lewisville, Texas, on Aug. 12, according to a company news release.
The 144,000 square-foot building will consolidate the Orthofix spinal implants division operations from Wayne, N.J., and Springfield, Mass., and include an expanded R&D machine shop. Additionally, the Lewisville location will hold the Orthofix North American orthopedics, the global spinal implants and the spine stimulation divisions.
The Lewisville location also houses the Orthofix Institute for Research, Training and Education. The center includes a seven station simulated operating room wet lab, an 18 station dry lab and 50 seat lecture room. The facility is part of the Austin Ranch master-planned community.
