Zimmer Holdings has purchased China's Beijing Montagne Medical Device, which will allow the company to make products in China, according to a Trading Markets report.
Montagne is the biggest joint prosthesis maker in China, with two plant locations. In 2009, the company reported $60 million in sales revenue and the profit margin was nearly 23 percent.
China is the biggest overseas joint prosthesis supplier. The global artificial bone market is expected to hit $30 billion in value in 2013.
