Maetta Sciences announced that it has received FDA clearance for a cobalt chrome orthopedic implantable device manufactured using its proprietary metal injection molding technology.
The company plans to rapidly start the production of this device.
"It is a great achievement by our team as we believe this is the first time FDA clearance is obtained for an implantable device made by MIM," said the company's President and CEO Yvan Beaudoin. "It is also very encouraging as Maetta is currently involved in the development of several implantable devices with various clients."
