Medtronic and Cardinal Health have partnered with Ohio State University in Columbus to provide $42 million in funding for neuroscience technology development, according to a Mass Device report. The university is still looking for an additional $21 million in state funds through Third Frontier. OSU filed a letter of intent with the Ohio Development Services Agency and named the project a $63 million model for creating multiple commercial companies, called the Neurotechnology Innovations Translator.
Minneapolis-based Medtronic currently has no locations in Ohio.
