Alphatec Holdings Names Mike Plunkett as COO

Carlsbad, Calif.-based Alphatec Holdings has appointed Mike Plunkett to succeed Pat Ryan as chief operating officer. Since 2012, Mr. Plunkett has served as vice president of operations for Alphatec Spine, and he managed supply chain, production, manufacturing engineering, facilities and IT. He brings more than 30 years of operations experience to the post.

Mr. Ryan served as COO since 2011, and left his post to pursue other opportunities outside of the company.
