Medtronic will collaborate with Tissuemed, a company researching and manufacturing products that utilize adhesive polymer technology for medical applications, in order to distribute Obex NeuroFilm, according to a Medtronic news release.
Under the agreement, Medtronic will be the exclusive distributor for Obex NeuroFilm barrier and sell the product through direct operations and partners in Europe and other key markets. Obex NeuroFilm is a ready-to-use self-adhesive barrier for cerebrospinal fluid leak prevention.
The barrier can also be used to seal openings from sutures or other dural repairs.
