Alphatec Spine announced the company received the CE Mark approval for the HeliFix Interspinous Spacer System and the Solus ALIF System in the European Union, according to a company news release.
The HeliFix system is a minimally invasive non-fusion solution for treating lumbar spinal stenosis. The device implant has a self-distracting helical tip and acts as an extension blocker at the affected vertebral levels and relieves symptoms of lumbar spinal stenosis.
The Solus ALIF system is a single-action locking implant that is used during anterior lumbar interbody fusion. The implant is designed to be secured into place with a single step.
Alphatec also recently released the Aspida anterior lumbar plating system and the PureGen osteoprogenitor cell allograft in the U.S. market.
