Titan Spine Receives Patent for Surface Design of Interbody Fusion Implant

Mequon, Wis.-based Titan Spine received four patents this year for technology related to its Endoskeleton interbody device and system instrumentation. The most recent patent was issued July 9 by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for aspects of the implant's roughened surface that has been shown to induce the production of proteins needed for bone growth.

Titan Spine now holds 10 patents and has 14 applications under review for approval later this year.
