Franklin, Mass.-based Arthrosurface is celebrating the ninth anniversary of its first motion-preserving metatarsal resurfacing procedure using its HemiCAP Toe system, an implant that allows toe joints to be restored to natural curvatures, according to a news release.
The HemiCAP consists of a cap and screw interfacing through taper lock. The device has also recently received FDA clearance to be used without bone cement, which broadens surgeons' options in the event of surgical complications, according to the release.
