Haemonetics FY 2015 revenue drops 3% — 10 things to know

Haemonetics reported a lower fourth quarter revenue for the 2015 fiscal year.

Here are 10 things to know about the company's financial report:

 

1. Revenue was down 6 percent, reaching only $226.5 million for the fourth quarter.

 

2. The GAAP net loss was $2.9 million, $0.06 per share.

 

3. For the fully 2015 fiscal year, revenue dropped 3 percent to $910.4 million reported and 1 percent in constant currency.

 

4. The full year 2015 GAAP net income was $16.9 million with $0.32 earnings per share.

 

5. During the 2015 fiscal year, the company reported 13 percent growth in the disposables revenue in China, with 11 percent growth overall in plasma disposables revenue.

 

6. The company's next generation plasma software received FDA clearance last year.

 

7. The company completed clinical testing on the SOLX storage solution and submitted data to the FDA and filed for the Canadian registration.

 

8. In the fourth quarter, the surgical disposables revenue was down 11 percent to $15.7 million.

 

9. Disposables revenue from OrthoPAT orthopedic perioperative autotransfusion system was down 17 percent to $5 million for the fourth quarter; it was down 19 percent to $20.3 million for the full year.

 

10. The adjusted gross profit was $11.4 million, down more than $7 million from the fourth quarter of the previous fiscal year.
