Two more healthcare providers placed orders for Mazor's Renaissance robotic spine surgery system.
Here are five things to know:
1. The NeuroInstitut Oliver-Ayats Barcelona in Spain purchased one of the systems; it will be the first Renaissance system purchased in Spain.
2. A hospital in Indiana purchased the second system. This will be the first system purchased in Indiana.
3. Including the most recent two systems, there are five systems purchased in the second quarter of 2015. There are still a few days left before the quarter ends on June 30.
4. The 50th Renaissance system was purchased earlier this month by a hospital in Virginia. There have been more than 10,000 cases using the Renaissance system.
5. In accordance with company growth, Israel-based Mazor expanded their United States sales leadership team to include Chad Zaring.
"I am very pleased with the momentum we are experiencing both in the U.S. and the international markets," said CEO Ori Hadomi. "In Europe we continue to see opportunities and this is the first Renaissance system in Spain, while in the U.S., we are expanding Mazor's presence into new markets."
