NuVasive leadership shake-up: Meet 6 new executives

NuVasive named a new president and chief operating officer in addition to several other senior leadership positions.

The new changes and additions to the team are:

 

1. Pat Miles is the new president and COO. He has been with NuVasive for 14 years, and his new responsibilities cover leadership and management of the company's global products and services in addition to operational duties. He'll lead NuVasive global operations, product development and marketing services teams.

 

2. Matt Link is the new president, U.S. commercial. He joined NuVasive in 2006 and became a leader in the company's sales growth since then. He was most recently the president of U.S. sales and services where he led the strategic integrate of U.S. sales and services functions. NuVasive renamed U.S. sales and services to U.S. commercial today to better reflect the company's efforts to integrate sales, service and specialized customer marketing.

 

3. Quentin Blackford is the executive vice president and chief financial officer. He joined NuVasive as corporate controller in 2009 and has more than 15 years of experience in healthcare. His experience includes finance, accounting and investor relations.

 

4. Jason Hannon is the executive vice president of international and general counsel. He took over the role from Russell Powers, who will continue to serve as executive vice president and a member of the executive leadership team focusing on the company's expansion into greater China. Mr. Hannon is responsible for NuVasive's commercial operations outside the United States.

 

5. Carol Cox is the executive vice president, strategy, corporate development and eternal affairs. She has more than 20 years of senior-level experience in cross-functional corporate roles in healthcare and joined NuVasive last year. She is now responsible for leading NuVasive's corporate development and mergers and acquisitions strategy.

 

6. Pete Leddy, PhD, is the executive vice president, human resources and corporate integrity. He has been a member of NuVasive's board of directions since 2011 and resigned that post today to fulfill his new appointment. He has more than 25 years of senior-level global human resources experience with several large companies, including PepsiCo and Dell.

 

NuVasive is also searching for a new chief information officer and general counsel.
